Invitation: "The End of Remembrance"

"The End of Remembrance - Carinthian Partisans" (Das Ende der Erinnerung – Kärntner PartisanInnen, Konec spomina) is the title of an exhibition by Ernst Logar.
The next stop for this series of exhibitions takes place in the former NS execution room in today room of remembrance in the Regional Court Vienna.
Here more than a thousand men and women from Austria and a lot of other european countries were beheaded from 1938 to 1945 due to their political and religious beliefs or their nationality. Amongst them were several slovene victims from Carinthia.
Ernst Logar lets Carinthian Slovenes tell their experiences during WW II with the partisans, their living-conditions after the war and today. The recordings are intense documents from a last generation of witnesses, who opposed the regime and whose memories will be gone soon.
