The Blacksmith of Halovo
Halovo is full of attractions for a foreigner from the North Sea. P. really did a great job showing me around again. This time we focused on traditions and historical sites. I have already shown you Felix Romuliana and Magura. But P. also took me to the blacksmith of Halovo. (Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name. Sorry for that, dear blacksmith)

A lot of the equipment is really old and still in use. Here you can see the fireplace where the iron is heated. I hope you can make out the tools - it's a bit grey and ashy.

Behind the fireplace is the "puf" - the bellow which is making puf puf, of course. The fireplace and the puf are almost a hundred years old.

The drill.

This is a tool sharpener. As you can see, no electricity is required, since is run by hand.

Sometimes Halovo reminds me a bit of museum village. Which is nice in a way that it seems so much more natural than our degenerated high tech world. The latter, though, offers other advantages.

Personal impressions don't have to be objective.

You are welcome to present your opinions, but don't spam this blog with commercials. Simply posting "be objective" is not enough.
