Music's Got A Name: Vlado Kreslin in Križanke
"You have to go and see Vlado Kreslin", a friend urged me to go to the concert in Križanke. This is an old monastery complex altered over the years. Nowadays the place is not only famous for its old walls and inscriptions (Plečnik!), but also for cultural events like the Summer Festival.

Kreslin was great. Considering an average Slovenian income the ticket was expensive. 4.900 SIT. Cheap for Vienna and for 3-hours-ethno-folk-rock-galore though. I would have loved to dance all night, but there were chairs. My mind was a dolphin and splashed in the soundwaves. A real musician for a change. What a pleasure.

What I love about Ljubljana - and those who live there hate - is that I meet people I know all the time. (Hiho to everybody at the concert.) This is funny considering the fact that I set foot on Slovenian grounds for the first time ever 11 months ago.
